Many people take for granted the exposure they have to different institutions and the information they have about careers and the workplace. Finding a job may not be hard for everyone, however, it is important to consider that not everyone has the advantage of having connections to these opportunities.
The Sprout Foundation aims to be the connection to opportunity for those that need it. If, for example, if you are the first person in your family to pursue a qualification, it can be confusing to know where to begin. Even once you’ve obtained your qualification, knowing how to start the job search and what makes a good candidate for a position is challenging.
With the correct guidance, resources, and mentorship, Sprout hopes to not only be a source of information, but also a link to study, training and employment for beneficiaries. We establish partnerships with corporations and vouch for viable candidates for job openings.
Creating a level playing ground, will be a step in the right direction for tackling the unemployment crisis in South Africa.
