On 18th October 2022, The Sprout Foundation, in collaboration with the Affinity Group, hosted a Job Readiness Day for a group of participants from The Maker Space and United Nation’s Development Programme employment training programme.
The dynamic and driven group of participants enjoyed a full day of job readiness sessions with a variety of relevant topics, which included amongst others, office etiquette, interview skills, CV writing, networking, responsible social media use. The day combined both theory and practical sessions as each participant had the opportunity to have a professional photo taken of themselves for their LinkedIn profiles and put the interview skills, they had learnt, to the test by going through a mock interview and receiving meaningful feedback afterwards.
Each participant left with two certificates as a takeaway for the day. One of which confirmed that they understood what appropriate office etiquette is, and the other to confirm that they had successfully completed a day of job readiness with The Sprout Foundation.
The Sprout Foundation team is incredibly proud of every person that attended the job readiness day, and we have no doubt that the future looks very bright for the group!
