CAREER EXPOS

Career expos are held at various venues around Kwa-Zulu Natal as a means of connecting prospective study and job applicants to higher education and employment institutions. Career expos provide an opportunity for exposure to career and study opportunities, which applicants may otherwise not be aware of.

Job Readiness

Job readiness programmes are workshops which aim to prepare attendees for the workplace, covering items such as CV skills, interview tips, workplace etiquette, networking information, knowledge on obtaining a South African ID, driver’s licence and more

Skills programmes:

  • Entrance applications for studies
  • Applications for corporate bursaries and government funding
  • Skills that employers look for at graduate level
  • Interview etiquette

Job readiness:

  • Networking skills
  • Setting up an email address
  • Setting up a LinkedIn account

The Sprout Foundation understands that the process of applying for further studies, bursaries, jobs etc. is a difficult process, especially if one does not have the resources to comprehensively complete the applications. Application assistance is offered to youth wanting to do applications, needing guidance on where to apply and resources, such as computer and internet facilities, to do the applications.
