Isihlangusabasha Primary School is an under-resourced school in Kwa- Zulu Natal, near Inanda Dam. The primary school has approximately 450 learners attending; most of which come from a background of poverty, while many are orphaned and vulnerable.
The Sprout Foundation supports the school through provision of resources. Such as uniforms for learners and feeding schemes, as well as the refurbishment of classrooms and library facilities.
The school desperately needs to update the boundary of the school by extending and fixing the fence for the safety of the learners, teachers, and school property.

In alignment with The Sprout Foundation's goal to feed hungry school children, we would like to start a vegetable garden at one of our beneficiary schools. The students will be able to acquire invaluable resourcefulness and cultivation skills while working in the garden. Fresh produce from the garden can be used in the school kitchen.
The land will need to be adequately prepared before the vegetables can be planted. Learners can take part in the preparation of the land as part of the learning process.

Sprout plans to host a career expo with the intention of providing information to the beneficiaries on extended study, training, career, and employment opportunities.
Institutions and companies who attend these career expos will then have the opportunity to market their respective businesses amongst the students and employees.

Projectors are an extremely helpful and valuable tool within schools. Projectors allow teachers to visually represent their lessons in a more engaging and interactive way and allow educational films to be shown. Many under-resourced schools in South Africa do not have access to this technology.
